01What it is
A reservation links a product, a job, a location and a quantity. It does not take material off physical stock; it lowers the quantity available in that location.
A reservation can be saved only when the available stock in the location covers it and the location matches the job's base.
Issuing takes the material off stock and records a Used on job movement. Releasing returns the quantity to the available pool.
- THREE STATES
- Reserved, Issued, Released.
- AVAILABLE
- Physical stock minus reservations.
- NOT COVERED
- Reservations larger than stock.
02What it is for

Honest available stock
The Available column deducts reservations from physical stock.
Spot shortfalls
The Not covered tile shows reservations that stock does not cover.
Reserve from the job
The Reserve for this job box on a material item.
