01What it is
Usage is taken from stock movements of the type Used on job, less returns from jobs. A material bought and sitting on the shelf is not counted here, because that is stock, not cost.
The What for column shows the kind of work that used the most of a material. When a job has two kinds of work, the material value is split equally between them, so the shares add up to what actually left the stock.
People without the finance permission see a quantity report: no values and no Sources and prices tab. The report is an extended mode item and belongs to the Warehouse and logistics module. Without the module the data stays visible, and the menu item shows a padlock.
