01What it is
A location is a place the company works from: a base, a warehouse, an office or a storage yard. One location is the default.
A location is not a filter for the whole application. It concerns stock, equipment, the team and project bases: every employee has a base, and every project has a base and store from which material is reserved and issued.
A location used by employees, projects, equipment or stock cannot be deleted. That safeguard protects your stock levels.

Inventory counts goods separately in each location, and stock screens have a warehouse filter.
Project base
A project takes material from its base's warehouse.

Locations are a list, the location form and the location card.

04Tasks step by step
- STEP 1Open Settings › Locations and choose Add a location.
- STEP 2Enter the name, choose the Warehouse or Storage yard type and the country.
- STEP 3Fill in the address, warehouse code and contact person, then save.
- STEP 1Open the location for editing.
- STEP 2Tick Default location and save. There can be only one default, so the previous one stops being it.
- STEP 1If employees, projects, equipment or stock use it, move them to another location first.
- STEP 2You can also untick Location active so it is no longer used.
