01What it is
Data import reads customers and their units from a CSV file: one row is a customer and optionally their unit. The file can have up to 5 MB, 5000 rows and 60 columns.
Import needs less than the form: a customer needs a name and a phone or email, a unit needs a name. You fill in the rest at the first edit. A row with an error is skipped entirely.
A customer already in the application (same tax ID, email or phone) and a unit with the same number are not duplicated: the row is linked to them. The import does not grant marketing consents.
- CUSTOMERS WITH UNITS
- One row of the file is a customer and their unit.
- PREVIEW BEFORE SAVING
- The first 50 rows and the number of errors.
- NO DUPLICATES
- Existing customers and units are not duplicated.
02What it is for
Start without retyping
Your whole customer register from the previous software, with no manual entry.
No mess
Rows with existing customers and units are linked to them.
Units on the map
A unit with coordinates goes straight onto the map.
Within the law
The import does not grant marketing consents. You tick them on the customer card.
03Main options
Import has two steps: uploading the file and matching the columns with a preview.
Bring your records from a file
The first step of the import.
- A CSV file up to 5 MB; the first row holds the column headers
- Separated by semicolons or commas, saved as UTF-8
- Download file template with a ready column layout

Which column is which field
Columns are recognised by their headers. Correct the matching and refresh the preview.
- Customer fields: first name, surname, company name, tax ID, phone, email, address, notes
- Unit fields: name, number, type, address, floor area, floors, coordinates
- Tiles: rows in file, new customers, new units, rows with errors
- A preview with a What will happen column, and the Import data and Cancel import buttons

04Tasks step by step
- STEP 1Save customers and units as CSV; in Excel use Save as › CSV. You can follow the file from the Download file template button.
- STEP 2Open Settings › Data import and upload the file.
- STEP 3Check the column matching, correct it if needed and choose Refresh preview.
- STEP 4Check the Rows with errors tile and choose Import data. After the import you go to the customer list.
- STEP 1At the preview stage choose Cancel import. The file is deleted and nothing changes in the database.
