01What it is
New quote is a shortcut in the Modules menu, visible to people allowed to edit customers. The form opens once the company has at least one customer.
A quote is not yet a job or a booking. Its number is assigned automatically by document numbering, and the validity date follows the quote validity setting.

02What it is for
Quote on the spot
You record the scope of work right after talking to the client.
Two kinds of remarks
Remarks visible to the customer and a note for your eyes only.
Completion time
The planned duration of the work in working days.

The quick action opens the same form as New quote on the quotes list.
Scope, client and validity
The quote name and the description of what is to be done are required.
- Quote name and customer

The quote card opens after saving.

04Tasks step by step
- STEP 1Open the Modules menu and choose New quote in the top row.
- STEP 2Enter the quote name, choose the customer and describe what is to be done.
- STEP 3Save. Add items and labour on the quote card.
- STEP 1On the quote card, choose Job from the quote.
- STEP 2Pick a project and unit of the same customer and choose Create job.
- STEP 3Items, labour and prices are carried over, and the quote gets the Converted to job status.
